On Thursday, November 10th, Newell - Faulkner American Legion Post 880 Honor Guard came to Southtowns Catholic School to celebrate Veterans Day. With all the students, faculty & families in the gym, the Post talked about what Veterans Day is and answered questions. The school sang the Star Spangled Banner as Richard Casseri played the saxophone. He also played a medley of military songs and asked everyone to stand if they had someone who is in or served in each branch. During the day,Veterans joined their family member for lunch at school. Thank you to Newell - Faulkner American Legion Post 880 and all the Veterans that joined us today for our celebration of Veterans Day.
Honoring Veterans is something Eden Heights holds close to their hearts. On Veterans Day they held a special breakfast for theirr Eden Heights Veterans and the Veterans from Post #880. It was a special time for the veterans to share stories and socialize. The Veterans enjoyed a breakfast, received certificates and thank you cards.
